Engineering studies
We perform three types of studies – functional, technical and integration studies.
Functional studies:
Functional studies translate customer requirements into realizable functions.
We deliver:
- Functional diagrams, wiring and network diagrams, provisional parts lists of the capital goods
- Interface specification of capital goods (floor space requirements, laying plans/blueprints, easement – energy, fluids, ventilation, etc.)
- Specification of provisioning and tests of integrated subassembly
- Feasibility study of facility design/equipment installation (2D or 3D)
- Conclusive documentation of the design concept
Technical studies
The intention of technical studies is to deliver a document that covers the complete realization of capital goods (including tooling).
We deliver:
- An overall plan and corresponding detailed plans covering manufacturing, isometrics, nomenclature, functional and terminal diagrams
- Mock-ups in 2D or 3D
- Files for machine (& tools) programming
- Conclusive documentation of the technical study
Especially for tooling, we can ensure manufacturing planning and control.
Integration studies
Integration studies consist of producing a document which allows a manufacturer to carry out the physical integration of the capital goods in a given environment.
We deliver:
- Overall coordination plans
- Development plans in 2D/3D or virtual mock-ups in 3D
- Activity plans (mechanics, ventilation, piping, electricity)
- Specification for integration (rules to be respected by the assembler)
- Conclusive documentation of the integration study
Specialized studies (on request)
In addition to the three types of study described above, we are also able to provide specialized studies on request.
- Dimensioning and calculation by the "finite element method" or by the classical method "strength of materials" (French: RDM – résistance des matériaux)
- Theoretical studies of electromagnetic compatibility (French: CEM – compatibilité électromagnétique)
- Research & design (R&D), and CAD modelling
- Integrated Logistics Support (keywords: reliability and maintainability)
