Functionalities categorized according the user’s role
The Report Generator categorizes functionalities according to the user’s role in the report generator.
Users with the Report User role, which supplies predefined reports from the system, require no knowledge of either DQL or style sheets.
Users with the Report Administrator role can schedule reports so that they are generated automatically at a predefined time and location.
Users with the Report Builder role can create new report definitions by configuring the DQL statements, and they can identify and compose the desired style sheets.
The Report Generator can be accessed by anyone who has been given one of these default roles.

Fully integrated in the Documentum environment
The Report Generator is integrated into the Documentum Webtop version 5.2.5 and higher including Documentum 6, or Documentum Administrator client, in line with the corporate philosophy of Documentum. This enables end users to work in an environment that they are already familiar with. In addition, the Report Generator does not need to be installed on the end user’s workstation.
Evaluation
In order to work, the Report Generator requires a working license file.
