PLM workshop
Datum: 23-Sep-2008Locatie: Nantes, France
Onderwerp: Product Lifecycle Management
PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) is the activity of managing a company's products all the way across their lifecycles in the most effective way. (John Stark, Product Lifecycle Management: Paradigm for 21st century Product Realisation)
In today’s highly competitive global markets, companies must meet the increasing demands of customers to rapidly and continually improve their products and services. PLM meets these needs, extending and bringing together previously separate fields such as Computer Aided Design, Product Data Management, Sustainable Development, Enterprise Resource Planning, Life Cycle Analysis and Recycling.
Purpose of this workshop
The purpose of this workshop, which will bring together recognized experts and regional manufacturers, is to clarify the paradigm of PLM, to explain its concepts and to highlight methods and tools by which PLM can be integrated in business processes.
Workshop calendar
This is the first event of a series of workshops. Until the end of 2009, we will see one workshop per quarter, covering various business sectors such as shipbuilding, aerospace and defense, automotive, energy, food production industry, etc.
