D2 client (user interface)

This training course provides you with the fundamentals of the D2 client tool.

Prerequisites

• Knowledge of office automated tools
• Knowledge of the Windows environment

• Editors and (technical) writers
• Any person with access to company documents

Training contents

• Principles and concepts of EDM
• Document creation
• Document upgrade
• Document search
• Document view consultation
• Task and notification handling
• Virtual document creation and manipulation

Media and infrastructure

• The exercises will be in PowerPoint format.
• The trainees have access to the application via Internet Explorer.
• The application is installed on a virtual machine installed either on local workstations or on a server. It's highly recommended that training participants bring along their laptop which should cover the minimum requirements as below.
• Minimum configuration required:
  • VMware player 2.5
  • 3 GB RAM
  • 25 GB free disk space
