Dr Stefan Winter elected President of TECOM

TECOM, the Swiss Society for Technical Communication, unanimously elected Dr Winter as President during their forum at the end of April 2009.

Bertrange, June 2009 – euroscript congratulates Dr Stefan Winter, Vice-President Sales Manufacturing and Managing Director of euroscript Switzerland, for his nomination to a key industry position as President of TECOM Switzerland.

In his new role as President of TECOM, Dr Winter will be mainly focussing on:

• improving the perception of TECOM Switzerland by enhancing (industry) networking and partner relations;
• creating more transparency and understanding of the impact and relevancy of Technical Communication in a global marketplace;
• attracting new members to TECOM and the Board: "Donate your work, be a volunteer!".

In addition, he remains responsible for training, meetings and information exchange.

Dr Winter has worked for euroscript since 1998 and has held various positions in the group. Three years ago he took on the position of Managing Director of euroscript Switzerland AG, and in January 2009 was appointed Vice President Sales Manufacturing of euroscript International S.A.

Dr Winter is fluent in German and English. He wrote his Ph.D. thesis at the University of Konstanz and at CERN in Geneva in 1989, followed by a one-year stint at the Electrotechnical Laboratory (ETL) in Tsukuba, Japan’s largest research institute, for which he received a grant from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI).
