C6 product training: D2 client (user interface) (0.5 days)

This training course provides you with the fundamentals of the D2 client tool.

Target audience: Editors and (technical) writers; any person with access to company documents

C6 product training: D2 configuration interface – level 1 (1.5 days)

This training course will allow you to create functional prototypes using the D2 config tool.

Target audience: Application managers, project leaders, developers, functional consultants

The training course is based on a concrete example of managing a CV library, and will allow you to learn how to use the basic D2 config functions. Each step will be accompanied by exercises meant to let you learn the fundamentals through practice.

Prerequisites:

• D2 client training
• Knowledge of EMC | Documentum

C6 product training: D2 configuration interface – level 2 (1 day)

This training course will allow you to master the advanced functions of the D2 config tool.

Target audience: Application managers, project leaders, developers, functional consultants

Topics:

• Multiple update
• Workflow settings
• Virtual document templates
• Binding metadata to content (O2)
• PDF rendition (R2)
• PDF composition (C2)

The training course is based on a concrete example of managing an "application for business trip", and will allow you to learn how to use the advanced D2 config functions. Each step will be accompanied by exercises meant to let you learn the fundamentals through practice.

Prerequisites:

• D2 client training
• D2 configuration level 1 training
• Knowledge of EMC | Documentum: workflow & configuration + XLL & XML basics

C6 product training: D2 plugin creation (2 days)

This training course will allow you to acquire the knowledge required for the D2 plugin development.

Target audience: Project leaders, developers

Topics:

• Understand the technical architecture of D2
• Presentation of the D2 plugin package
• Main objects of D2
• Plugins illustrated by an example
• Plugin creation guide
• Plugin creation exercises

The training course is based on the plugin template proposed by C6 and will allow you to learn how to develop plugins in D2. This step, consisting in presenting the plugin packaging in D2, will be accompanied by exercises meant to let you learn the fundamentals through practice.

Prerequisites:

• D2 client training
• D2 configuration level 1 training
• Knowledge of Java
• Knowledge of EMC | Documentum, especially DFCs

Key features of our C6 product training courses

• Training is usually provided on basis of open registration.
• Training courses are delivered in French. (English, Dutch or German courses may be scheduled on special request).
• A maximum of 6 trainees per day (with the exception of D2 client training (max. 8 trainees).
• Training is charged per participant.
• In the event of organizational or teaching-related problems, euroscript reserves the right to cancel or postpone a training session, provided two weeks' notice is given.

Media and infrastructure

• The exercises will be in PowerPoint format.
• The trainees have access to the application via Internet Explorer.
• The application is installed on a virtual machine installed either on local workstations or on a server.
• It's highly recommended that training participants bring along their laptop which should cover the minimum requirements as below.
• Minimum configuration required:
  • VMware player 3.1
  • 3 GB RAM
  • 25 GB free disk space
• D2 plugin training only: the trainees will install the plugins on their workstation from the plugin template made available by C6.
